All print guides ↗How to print a PDF at 100%
Download the PDF, open the print dialog and choose Actual size or 100%. Select the same paper format and orientation as the PDF. In Acrobat, Actual size prints without scaling. Avoid Fit when the physical dimensions must stay unchanged.
↗02Why a printer changes photo dimensions
Scaling can happen in the PDF viewer or printer driver. Fit reduces the whole PDF to the printable area, and a paper-format mismatch can trigger another resize. Borderless printing may enlarge the image and crop its edges.
↗03How to avoid cropping a photograph
Whole image fits the complete photograph inside the selected rectangle. Crop to fill covers the rectangle and removes some edges when the ratios differ. Look at faces, text and horizon lines in the preview.
↗04Check the real dimensions of a print
Enable the 20 mm calibration square, export one sheet and print it on ordinary paper. Measure between the square’s line centres in both directions. Then measure the photograph rectangle.
↗PhotoPaperKit helps prepare photographs for home printing: exact sizes, sheets, frames, contact sheets and tiled posters. Its tools run in your browser without sending selected images to the website. The guides explain how to check the PDF, paper and print scale before using photo paper.
Use Actual size or 100% in the PDF print dialog. Match the paper format and disable any further resizing in the printer driver. The preview shows the PDF layout, not a guarantee of your printer’s printable area. Start with ordinary paper and measure before using photo paper.
